EASY ACCESS TO THE UNDERLYING DATA FOR EACH BALANCED SCORECARD METRIC
Surgeon General’s Executive Global Look (SG EGL) is an essential tool used in the
Air Force Surgeon General’s (AF/SG’s) efforts to promote continuous performance
improvement throughout the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS). The strategy is to
measure success in the operation of the 79 Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities
(MTF) and drive performance standards, baselines, and best practices.

Dental Oral Health:
|
Oral health readiness of Active Duty Air Force members.
|

Access (Routine):
|
For 90 percent or greater of patient requests for routine care, patients should
receive an appointment within the Routine Access to Care Standard of seven days.

Coding Accuracy:
|
Measures coding accuracy for E&M codes, CPT codes, and ICD-9 codes.

Healthcare Effectiveness Data
and Information Set (HEDIS):
|
HEDIS is a set of standardized performance measures developed by the National Committee
for Quality Assurance that health plans use to collect, audit, and report on healthcare
quality.

Individual Medical Readiness (IMR):
|
IMR consists of six elements that help determine the medical readiness of an individual
to be deployed.

Service Delivery Assessment (SDA):
|
The Service Delivery Assessment (SDA) surveys military families within 24 hours
of their appointment and gathers timely feedback on the quality of service received.
This site provides summary analysis of four AFMS standardized questions: Appointment
Ease, Staff Courtesy and Respect, Time Spent with Health Care Team, and First Call
Resolution.

The Business Plan metric examines an MTF’s Relative Value Unit (RVU) execution compared
to its Business Plan projections for the current fiscal year.
